Qualified teacher ?

Two days ago I watched an interesting program on TVRI. The program was dedicated to teachers especially teachers in remote areas or even isolated ones. The program was made to remind us the role of teachers in Indonesia. Watching the program I realized that I don't deserve to get the status of teacher, a real teacher ?

In Sulawesi, there is an isolated village ,that is Wana Village. The village is near the town of Palu but the condition of thr village is very different with the town of Palu. The people there are not well educated. They, however, have a dream that the young generation will have a better future.Three teachers dedicate their life to educate the children there. They don't wear uniform like teachers in towns. They have to climb up to the mountain to meet their students. The school is just a simple wooden building. The classes have to be shared the room together because there is no more place. One thing that I learned from that program " the spirit of the students and teachers. They work hard to make their dream come true.
Unlike in towns where teacher and students attend schools,  modern buildings with so many facilities .The quality of education is still low.It seems that most teachers fail to educate students about hardworking, honesty and responsibility. Cheating is commonly done by students. The students loose their motivation and self confidence.
I believe most of us very very considerate seeing what happen around our school but we should never give up easily. We help our students to be better ones. That's our responsibility. May be we cannot give them the best but at least we try and try. Our duty has not finished yet.We can learn from what teachers in Wana village have done to their students. They are great teachers because they don't only give their students knowledge but they give motivation, encouragement that inspire the students to change their life
